Christmas air-fryer recipes

December 4, 2024 • In Christmas, Air-fryer

Over the festive period, oven space is at a premium – which is where your trusty air fryer saves the day! Make the most of this handy bit of kitchen kit with our cracking Christmas air-fryer recipes.

From air-fryer Christmas dinner sides (did someone say air-fryer roast potatoes?) to fuss-free party food and extra-special sweet treats, there’s so much that your air fryer can help you with.

CHRISTMAS AIR-FRYER SIDES

Crispy and golden on the outside, but beautifully fluffy on the inside – you can’t beat air-fryer roast potatoes. Free up crucial oven space on the Big Day by popping these in the air fryer instead – you won’t regret it (if you’re feeding a crowd – you may need to cook these in batches, or in two drawers).

No Christmas dinner is complete without pigs in blankets! If you want to mix it up this year, Jamie has loads of festive flavour combos – think Brie and walnut, chicken liver and sage, ricotta and chilli, and even black pudding! Or keep it simple and classic with these bacon-wrapped chipolatas.

Ridiculously golden root veg, topped with crispy rosemary and garlic – what’s not to love? We’ve gone for a mixture of carrot, parsnip, squash and swede here, but feel free to mix it up and use what you’ve already got – beetroot or fennel would also be delicious.

Sticky glazed carrots, with caramelised garlic and thyme – these will make a great addition to your Christmas table.

Love them or hate them, sprouts are a Christmas dinner staple – and they cook so beautifully in the air fryer! Flavoured with lemon zest and tangy Parmesan, these sprouts have the crispiest leaves, but are perfectly tender inside. So good.

AIR-FRYER CHRISTMAS PARTY FOOD

Use smaller potatoes and make mini versions of these air-fryer potato skins, so they’re the perfect nibbles – much easier to devour while holding a glass of fizz! Feel free to mix up the filling here to make it extra festive – think cranberries, Brie, bacon, or check out Poppy O’Toole’s Loaded cheese & pancetta version – yes, please!

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a beautifully oozy Camembert – but there’s no need to bake it in the oven. Make hosting a breeze by cooking this in the air fryer instead – you’ll end up with something equally spectacular.

Spice up your Christmas party offering with these crispy bhajis. They’re also great for using up any leftover Christmas root veg. Jamie’s used onion, chillies and squash here, but you can totally mix it up with coarsely grated potato, carrot, or even sprouts!

Every good party needs an array of cheeky canapés on offer – and these crispy little patties are sure to go down a treat. Put your Christmas dinner leftovers to good use by rustling these up for a Boxing Day buffet. Just dip in cranberry sauce or leftover gravy.

AIR-FRYER CHRISTMAS PUDS

With festive spices, stem ginger and orange, these make a cracking edible gift. If you’re wrapping them up, be sure to include a note to pop them in the fridge as they contain cream cheese. Or make a batch and keep them in the freezer, then cook them to order in an air fryer to feed any unannounced Christmas guests!

Crumbly, chewy and oh-so delicious, these cute oat cookies make a great edible gift (or leave them out for Santa!). To make these extra Christmassy, swap the lemon for clementine, and the sultanas for dried cranberries.

Go all-out this Christmas with our fancy air-fryer peach Alaska. For a festive twist, swap the hot cross buns for rounds of panettone – we have lots more inspo in our Easy Swaps section.
